Proposed method for phase retardation measurements using polarimetric techniques

Phase retardance elements such as quarter, half and full waveplates are essential in the most of polarization systems. So, they should be determined precisely. Accurate determination phase retardation for these necessary critical due to its effect on optical measurements. In this paper we measure two-dimensional distribution wave plate using four step shifting technique accurate measurements through whole surface plate. By technique, images captured, which related different orientation azimuth angle analyzer, mathematically analyzed obtain The mean value is 182.57˚ with uncertainty 0.6˚.
